MINISTER for Transport Rachel Nolan has announced a $1 million program to improve safety near low level rail bridges in Southeast Queensland. Additional protection measures will be provided at a selection of high priority low level bridge sites.

WA Transport Minister Simon OBrien has inspected works on the new Lancelin to Cervantes road, due for completion later this year. The $112 million second stage of the project, which commenced in 2008, involves the construction of 65 km of new sealed coast road.

FINALISATION of the preferred Multi Modal Transport Corridor MMTC alignment for the Sunshine Coast is a step closer. Queensland Main Roads Minister Craig Wallace has directed his Department of Transport and Main Roads to ensure the further work needed to finalise the preferred alignment is completed by the end of April 2010.
